Families

The Château Ramezay was originally the family home of the Governor of Montréal, Claude de Ramezay, his wife, Marie-Charlotte Denys de la Ronde and their children. Now that the Château is a museum, visitors can still enjoy its friendly atmosphere and family-oriented activities.

  • It's a great place to reinforce things kids learn in class.
Our exhibitions explore many of the topics covered in the Québec school curriculum, such as life in New France and the history of Montréal and Quebec.

  • It's interactive...
As you'll find out by following our two multimedia tours, including one that takes a peek at the servants of the Ramezay residence!

  • And fun...
Stop by our family fun zone, where board game and costumes await you.

  • In an authentic setting...
An 18th century structure housing a unique collection of artefacts.
